Each resident has a Care Plan which is regularly reviewed, based on an initial and then continuing assessment. This is drawn up in consultation with the resident, carers, advocates and relatives.

We always ensure sufficient qualified staff are on duty 24 hours a day to meet all residents’ nursing needs. Where appropriate, we arrange appointments for other professionals including doctors, dentists, opticians, chiropodists and physiotherapists (costs for some of these are met by residents). Appointments can be made for consultations at the Home or at the relevant practices.

We ensure our premises are kept clean, hygienic, free from unpleasant odours and with systems in place to prevent the spread of any infection. We carry out careful procedures for the administration of residents’ medicines overseen by the Nurse in charge.

We operate a No Smoking Policy throughout our Homes, except in the designated area.

All our staff attend regular training events to ensure they are up to date with all nursing and care practices.
